Karoo Sunrise
The golden hues in the foreground perfectly capture the dry, straw-like texture of karoo grasses. Beyond the rustic farm gate lies hilly terrain with sparse fynbos and other shrubs. Sunset Boababs
The setting sun silhouettes these iconic african trees, casting long shadows over mauve fields. The bare branches and field highlights the harshness of the winter. This piece captures rural life near a small town. The white walls, gables, and thatch roof are a staple of traditional Cape Dutch architecture found throughout the Western Cape province of South Africa. Shrubbery lines the property's perimeter and trees only grow in small copses where groundwater is plentiful.

The well worn trail draw's the observer's gaze along this forest path, flanked by a rich assortment of greens.
